Default Is there a new BMW M5 due out soon?

Driving around at lunch time today I spotted a car with front and rear car bras... once I see a rear car bra my curiosity gets aroused so I go and have a look.

The one think I noticed was twin exhausts on a relatively big car so I thought "cool, some sort of Holden / HSV" but looking closer I am not so sure. I see some very BMW design cues .. but twin exhausts. It had the euro thing of indicators in the rear view mirrors.
I thought it might be an Orion prototype but it wasn't very well hidden if that was the case so I think not. As it was large and had twin exhausts and a vaguely BMW shape I am leaning towards that.

Any ideas ??

The new falcon, first GT prototype came off line this week, is supposed to look similar to a BMW M5............

Sounds like a orion mule with the indicators in the rear view mirrors. The M5 will stay in its current form until around 2010 or so, just recently got a minor update.

Infomation posted by "xlnt6" somewhere else was interesting in terms of orion and FPV orion range:
-100kg's heavier then BF
-Lower suspension arms are alloy
-Plenum changed on v8s
-F6:290kw-300kw(600nm), GT:310-320kw(600nm)
-Various engine improvements
-Possibly larger ICC, which is housed higher up on the dash, above vents
-Gauge cluster(FPV Gauges) now integrated into ICC.
-Start/Stop button near gearshift for Boss cars
-No HID lights.

Thought the information would be interesting so i put up the main points.

I still don't think it was an Orion as it was too small, or at least appeared to be so. It sort of looks like a jumbo honda accord euro.

Good to see Orion is getting what it really needs - more weight.

I believe the M5 runs quad pipes and you would think any new model would keep the theme.

Yeah, could be the Aurion TRD. I suspect that would be the most likely from what you've said anyway.

the wheels look a bit small for an M5 in retrospect... I wonder if it is just a larger euro ....

It looks like FWD car, looking at the distance between the wheelarch and front door. Looks Camry/Aurion to me.

Now I have established it's nothing interesting : It's definitely an Aurion once you look at the pic in the other thread.

Before any pooh poohs it, it seems to have a fair bit of squirt... being a bum dragger it must be a handfull under power.

Its as if Toyota is targetting FFAU members armed with cameras to take more and more photos of there TRD Aurion. Its managed to appear in around 10 other sightings on this site alone, im suprised no magazine is actually using any of the photos because they are good quality photos, maybe they are becoming a dime a dozen these days. Doesn't matter, consider it training for the orion picture olympics.

Possible unless it has trade plates and you would also have to be willing to expose your insider to dismissal for misuse of their computer system. I know plenty of people that can look up stuff but there is no way I would.

I don't think they are brembos ...it's tough to tell, the phone has a half decent camera but it's not that good !
