Default HOT460's WSID Debut

Finally debut the Coupe today at WSID at the Nostalgia drags.

1st pass. 1.704 60'
7.017 660'
104.5 mph
ET 11.444
93.67 mph

2nd pass around the same, shut off at half track both times!

Final pass. 1.654 60'
4.584 330'
6.966 660'
102.84 mph
9.038 1000'
ET 10.788
128.79 mph

All times were done without stalling up at start. Just doing shake down passes too see how the car handled its new heart. :nutsycuck

Also a BIG thanks to Chris (MYV8) for all your help today! :

Well done Rich, always doesnt hurt to treat it the way you did to see what the attitude of the car will be

See if one of the boys will shoot a video of it for us, would be great to see you putting it through its paces after seeing the pics and hearing what you've done to it

With some time sorting a few little issues out I am sure I can manage a 10.2 or 10.3. out of it with the zorst on.
Then the fun can begin. NOS....... :

Bring it on! See you on wed at WSID. : Any excuse for me too take it for a run. (lol) Love it.
The first few passes will be shut off at half track, then the last will be run out the back door. Unfortunatly I haven't had a tech inspection done yet still waiting for my log book. They kick you out if you run a 10. Hopefully it went unnoticed by andra officials yesterday! :

Unfortunately I'm still waiting for my license renewal, they let me off last time but I doubt I'd get away with it twice,if it comes by wednesday I'll be there racing, if not Ill just come and watch, I have seen them be lenient with the ten second rule for certain workshops shall we say, you might be lucky on the night and get a few passes.

Thats cool. I am going too give it a miss this week and aim for next week. Bugger. Way too much work to do anyway.
I would be much happier being able to do full passes every run. So I will just have to be patient. :

Just a little Chris. Wont be too long before it gets a little NOS, then it will be WILD!
Took a mate for a quick run up my street when we got home, the look on his face was so funny. I didn't realise I had so many neighbours. :

Let me know when your heading out. Love being around tough Fords! I have to take the car back to the dyno early next week and give it a race tune instead of the soft one for abit of practice from sunday. :

Its a baby cam. at 3000rpm it makes 420hp at the treads and max power is around 6100 rpm. I am not sure about the spec's though. All I know is its wild on the street. :

G'day Hot460. I'm running a 460 in an XB coupe and looking at replacing the stock heads and Intake. I've looked around and there's not a lot to choose from. What heads are you running?

Mate ,keep looking. Heaps to choose from now for BB. Edelbrocks are direct fitin 75 or 95 cc chambers,as are trick flow streets, the older A429 cobrajets. You got Blue Thunders in couple different port configurations then if you want to change piston you can go to Jon Kaase SCJ's or the new P-51's which would be top of the street heads.
Then there's the high ports A460 and C460 and procomps if you were to choose them. Prob more i have missed .

G'day mate. I am running Blue Thunder heads with a performer intake and a 1250dominator. Its only has 10.5-1 compression (unfortunatly). Talk to gregaust, I am sure he can lead you in the right direction. I'm just a poolman so i cant help much.
Cheers Rich.

Nice! Mine needs a paint job pretty bad though. Just had the box sorted and a transbrake put in so now I get to leave the line at 4200rpm. : .
Next funds will be going towards the Nitrous and then when I am happy with the performance, Then the paint job!
