Congradulations mate. I look forward to a family one day. Am a little young and stupid at the moment though. Just about to turn 21 and saving for a house. I'd like to be financially comfortable and in a long term committed relationship though.

We have 2 little girls, 3 years and 8 months. It just keeps getting better watching them grow up and interact with you more and more. What they say about them growing up fast is true though, if I'm away for a week for work I notice changes in the girls when I return.
Regards,
Tote

Congrats nb_351. I can still recall the feeling - its hard to explain, its just so unique. Couldn't agree more Tote, they grow too quick. My "baby" starts school tomorrow, yet I feel like I'm still catching up on sleep from those early days.

It is the best feeling in the world apart from pushing them out. Matt just stood there next to me watching and was in too much shock to even cut the cord. Would do it again in a heartbeat. They do grow up so quickly. Our daughter was born 11 weeks early, she is now 15mths old and walking every where and very cheeky.

On reading this thread.. I believe there's an obvious statistical trend here?
That being... FORD people seem to always have girl babies first? (I'm in that category)
And My daughter is Blue blooded to the hilt, whereas my 16yr boy has HSV plastered everywhere

One little man, and no more for me. You're right though, the childbirth is easily the most amazing experience you will ever have in your life. As painful as it was, I would have to say I have never been more proud than to have gone through it (drug free) and to have a beautiful little boy at the end of it. Every day they amaze you, and I watched him tonight at his first ever tennis lesson and he starts swimming lessons next week. Growing up so fast, he is about to start school, but watching him learn something new every day, it just amazes me.

Congratulations on your new arrival. Enjoy every second you have with her, and, if I can give you some advice, never ever sacrifice your relationship with her for anything or anyone in the world. Good luck and welcome to the world of parenthood.

Envy you guys so much....
Due to varying circumstances, I was not there for the birth of either of my 2 girls.
Something I will regret forever.

I boy , 3 years old.... more to come !

Named with the toss of a coin, after either James Hetfield ( metallica ) or Angus Young ( ac/dc )..... James was the winner...

in 3 years you will witness MAJOR milestones that eaisly out-do anything you have ever done... like..

1. Ride a bike
2. catch the ball
3. say to dad " look dad - AC/DC " ( when it was on the tv ! )
4. Take child to hasting deering carpark for look at machinery !
5. Wear AC/DC shirt to day care !

Kids, , well worth it !

She is soooo sweet. You should be very proud.
I have 4 myself. 3 boys 12, 9 and 3 and one baby girl who is 71/2 months. A real daddy's little girl. Couldn't imagine life without them. I had my first under 20 and my last over 30 so I can tell you its easier when your younger!
