Default Restoring Dreams - inside working of Grand Tourer Restorations

Hi Guys,

just starting a thread to make sure everyone tunes in to watch 'Restoring Dreams' on Wednesday 9th March at 8pm or channel 31.

It is a 13 part series about the inner workings of Grand Tourer Restorations. It will be a great viewing. Hopefully get heaps of viewers so Neil can do a 2nd series.

Below is a trailer;

Perhaps you should have added the disclaimer "check you local TV guide for times"

If it's SBS out here in the bush all we get is..........

30...SBSHD
32...SBS 2
33...SBS 3
34...SBS 4

350...SBS ONE
351...SBS HD
352...SBS TWO
353...SBS 3
354...SBS 4

As I was the very lucky winner of FREEHO I can attest to first hand, the quality and true craftsmanship that Neil, Dan and the boys put into their work at GrandTourer Restorations.

The TV series can only enhance further their already impeccable reputation as one of Australia's premier car restoration shops

Cheers

Colin

If anyone can't get C31, after the forth episode they will release a DVD. You will be able to purchase it through the Grandtourer web site. 3 DVD's will be released during the course of the series.

Colin, good to see you still have the car and it didn't go to someone out to make some quick dollars. I hope your putting plenty of miles on the clock.

As I mentioned before here in the bush we get 9 SBS frequencies, but not 44 and no channels here have a 'C' prefix, as in C31

Are there different channel numbers for different areas, or am I just being thick?

FREEHO will not ever be sold guys. I've done nearly 1000 miles on it since winning it and it drives so smoothly, it's like John Bowe said, better than new!

Grand Tourer certainly know what theyre doing when it comes to building up replicas and restoring real ones, just like we're about to find out in the forthcoming TV series.

Thanks guys, I will look after FREEHO and drive it likes it meant be driven!

Neil is a very nice bloke and I saw him at the FPV Open Day last week, where he gave me a heads up about the show.

I reckon it'll be very good watching.

Sorry, you lost me. We don't get 44 (31) here as it's community TV, but according to ch 44's site 8:00pm Wed is 'Classic Restos'. Is it part of that program ?

Pity I wont get to see it though, we're part of the TV rating's panel and could have helped him beat My Kitchen Fools!

It will only be shown in Melbourne on Wednesday and will be on in other states soon.
You can stream the show from the C31 website on Wednesday night at 8-00pm.

Something has gone screwy then. Because my tivo recorded an episode in Brisbane today. They were working on a copper bronze (colour, I think) XR GT, doing engine/gearbox assembly and speaking to the guy who is making reproduction shifter mechanisms for them.

Maybe it was a sneak peek..... I enjoyed it but it would have been even better if was more detailed on how they do the restoration
