Default So, my car got flogged

So......

woke up last night to the sound of a rather loud exhaust coming from the car port of our unit complex. Knew it was mine straight away because i was the only one who had a car with a modified exhaust. the bastards had forced open the kitchen window and grabbed the keys. got outside in time to see it peeling off down the road. Cops found the car this morning burnt out in bush land. havent got photos yet as i've got no way to get to the car, but the cops have told me theres nothing left. just thankfull i took my flight bag outta the car last night or I would have been in serious strife with my job.

just gotta talk to the insurer now and see what i'm going to be getting back.

Still in shock that it was flogged.

from the fact that they allegedly torched it, it could be argued that the point is still valid..

crap news mate, joy riding scum bags will continue through the ages, just a fact of life. Those who can not be bothered putting in the effort to earn something for themselves would rather take it from someone who has.

What goods a really good alarm when the theives steal the keys anyway...

Only way to stop these theives is to introduce some real prison times where prison is prison again, not a holiday retreat with bars and a curfew..
Id even go further, torch a car, get caught doin it, get torched yourself as punishment.. Strip one, loose a few limbs or fingers/toes..

Sorry your car got nicked mate.

Pain in the rear for sure. Hope the insurance is good enough for you to get something the equivalent, or to put towards something even better.

Really bad news mate....

In reference to post #6, these bastards have learned that torching a car after a theft will make any detection of fingerprints impossible!

I continue to argue for the return of the stocks for bastards like this...

BTW... "just thankfull i took my flight bag outta the car last night or I would have been in serious strife with my job."
..I am also in the flying game, what steed do you fly?

Hey mate sorry to hear the terrible news!

Bastards will eventually get whats coming to them ie someone will catch them in the act and hopefully remove their ability to breath!

Hope it all goes well for you in the future.... get another AU... you know you want too.

That's no good at all. Oh well, that's what insurance is for - time to downgrade to a BA then.

hey guys,

what makes it worse is I was trying to sell it. I got a company FG and didn't have room for it anymore, so was going to sell it to finance a bike. i dunno if they targetted the car or not because they too the wallet, phone, ipod, laptop from the house as well.
