Default High Fuel Readings in car advertisments.

Don't you love people who advertise a car and show the trip computer with a high fuel usage reading.Love this one.

Soooooo.... they haven't reset their trip meter. Big deal. Not everyone uses it.
What were they thinking? I'm going to have to drive nearly 1900kms before I can take those photos to sell my car. That will show how fuel efficient it is. :

I think what myxr6 is getting at here is that the avg. fuel consumption is very high, meaning the car has probably been driven pretty hard (an avg of 40l per 100k's is bloody high!).

Hence the humor in placing said pic in the ad.

Whoops, I stared at that picture for a bit and that number just didn't register in my brain at all.

Some cars come with an instant L/100klms as compared to average, so if sitting idling the litres will just shoot up.
Some the BMWs come with a needle so as you floor it, the needle just goes to 35-40 l/100klms.
