I've been told there really good.

Hmm, I think I'll try some, got a few gutter marks from the previous owner, might cover them up until I get the fixed...

Might have to look into these too, would there be any balance issues with them as well as how well does the double sided tape hold?

I got some a little while ago, a mate works at autobarn. They are fantastic i smacked a curb at about 40 kph and it saved the rim. You should have seen the scuff on the rim skin.

Looks ok (would get for the Mini), but do each time you change tyres, get a puncture repair etc you need to buy new ones?

For the price of them who cares if you do, $50 odd is a small price to pay for a little insurance.

hmm i might get them if they are what i think they are
not to protect the rim. i can just respray mine if i scrape them
but to brighten them up
will these give like a silver lip to my dark alloys or will they just look out of place?

I was thinking the same thing Ross-b. My rims are anthracite.

Looks like a good idea to me.
Hard to find tyres these days that still have the little lip to protect your rim, so these might be a good replacement!
