Default Brake Calipers - what colour do you think is appropriate?

Now I know plenty of people have painted theirs in red or blue, but I just don't see either of them suiting my car.

I have been thinking just to paint them silver, but lately I've been leaning towards going black!!!

What do you guys think? Eventually there will be slotted & drilled rotors there as well:

I think the black would compliment the 'Hyper Black' colour of the rims nicely....

Your thoughts please....

Red is fairly common. A blue would suit well IMO.

Best pics I have atm showing my calipers...they are kinda hard to see cos the spokes are so chunky. The calipers and rotor hats are blue and the caliper brackets are painted silver. I hope this helps at least

Black.
That was the only colour my wife would let me paint the calipers on her XR8, with silver hubs.

Silver can look good. Brighter and cleaner than stock.

But black's good....with a silver decal is even better

This is a good gauge for when I do mine. I too think black is the best color. So clean, neat and low maintenance. Do you have pics of this done yet?

Are you planning on adding any other highlights to your car? i prefer to have a base and a complimentary colour. say if u wanted to do your pads yellow for example, then i would go about making my door card inserts yellow, various dash trims etc.., but keep it tasteful. 3 colours is over the top. i'd probably stick to a blue or something a darker shade as it would compliment the current colour of your car really well. if it was a neutral colour, say black or white, then either blue or red would compliment it fine, but not at the same time. purple might even look good on your car, as long as u carry it out throughout the car, because a single set of purple calipers might look odd if everything else is still standard. are you introverted or extroverted. that could define wheter or not u should have a loud colour or a soft (darker) shade. personally i dont like to reply to "what colour" threads as i think people really should be able to figure it out for themselves. what looks good to me may look like crap to you.

for my 2 cents, i'd go purple, slam it and do a few more highlights throughout the car, debage it and colour code anything that would look good the same base colour of the car. a formula that seems to work really well on a lot of cars. take those ugly mud flaps off too, they subtract from the look.

alternatively, because u already have shadow chromed wheels, you could paint the calipers the same colour as your car, that way they will stand out through your wheels but not be over the top.

Nah haven't got around to it yet - been flat out with work lately....been working a lot of weekends lately which hasn't helped!!!

At the moment I'm leaning towards black calipers, and I'll give the new rotors a coat of silver on the hubs...........

Gold looks good; I have gold - wouldn't have chosen the colour, but they came like that with the car, and the colour has grown on me.
