Firstly based on the rims and side profile that's a chop based on a new Fiesta.

Interesting though...

I would have liked to see the back of it to see if they've got design cues from the next Fiesta. Other than that I'd colour code the front grille to make it less obvious.

I agree with zetec, Auto Express does this a lot and they rarely inform the reader that these are just chops.

Below the chop it says "Photos: Auto Bild/Huckfeldt"
"Huckfeldt" is the name of the artist.

PS: Hello, this is AG3, I'm new to this forum by the way...

That grille looks like the new audi A4 or perhaps the Q7... don't like it to be honest. the "bonnet bulge" looks like the current model corolla, the lump of the end of the bonnet looks like it got sat on. In fact it looks like the photochop's been based on the Kuga. A car I also believe went for a blindfolded run through the ugly forrest.

Nice wheels, is about all I like about that one. I suppose that it might grow on me, but I don't like it.

Other than the horrible Peugeot/Audi grille, I don't mind the top photochop. I appears to retain more of the shape of the current Focus, which I happen to love.

I hate to say it, because I don't like the brand, but I like what they've done with the new Lancer sportback.

Yeah mate that's the LV focus. Already available in Australia in the XR5 version. All other variants are coming some time next year I believe. Already out in the UK.
Hopefully the next model they release won't be as ugly as some of the photochops that have popped up. Really don't do it for me compared to the current model. Time will tell I spose!

Most people refer to that as the Focus Mk 2.5 (unofficially?) because its just a major facelift/update of the Mk2 Focus.

This is the ASEAN version of the Mk 2.5 Focus...

It will go on sale this month in the Philippines, other ASEAN markets will follow on a later date.

The real 3rd generation Focus (Mk III) will go on sale in 2010 (in Europe).
As far as I know, there are still no spy photos of the next generation Focus.

Yeah I was looking at the XR5 Turbo's when pricing up a Focus. Couldn't justify spending another 23 grand for one over a standard The headlights and mirrors are changed for sure, the front bodykit is different with a lower lip-line and the tail lights are slightly different, but inside im pretty sure from memory it was identical if not for a couple of slight changes that went unnoticed... despite this still a nice looking car none the less.

Ah cool. Where are the ASEAN Focus's built? I thought there was a factory in Thailand, as well as in the Philippines that also shares the production line with the Mazda3?

The ASEAN Ford Focus, Mazda 3, Mazda Tribute and Ford Escape are all built at Ford's plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, Philippines.

Quote:
The Santa Rosa facility produces the Ford Focus and Escape, and the Mazda 3 and Tribute, and exports to ASEAN markets that include Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.
- Ford Philippines

They also now export FFV (E20 capable) Duratec engines to South Africa for their Focus and cylinder heads to Taiwan for their Focus.
