(Allegedly) Drunk Commodore Driver Does It Again

(Allegedly) Drunk Commodore driver manager to write off his car, my sister-in-law's Laser and a Camry earlier tonight in one easy manoeuvre.

Went too-fast (allegedly) over a speed hump, loosing control and sticks it in the back of the Camry, then goes backwards across the lawn, bum-first in to the back of the Laser, which was parked up the drive.

Tow truck driver reckons they're all write-offs (and so I do I FWIW).

Incident happened in Virgilia Drive, Hoppers Crossing (Vic).

Lucky thing no one was hurt, especially the kids that were playing on the other side of the fence he managed to destroy.

What a tool!

Some might say he was lucky to walk away.

Actually, he was really lucky the Camry was there, otherwise he probably would have hit the power pole on the nature strip.

A few minutes after I arrived he was taken to the local cop shop, where with any luck, Bubba is showing him a good time :-)

That is a massive hit and for what looks to be a residential street that would have a 50 limit (correct me if I'm wrong) I can't see how he could do that at the speed limit, or anywhere near it for that matter.

Bloody clown and he is just lucky no one was injured.

Yep, it's 50, with a speed hump outside the neighbour's house for good measure. Most people choose to slow down for the speed hump .....

I think you might be right.

The crime scene people turned up shortly after and took a heap of photos and made a bunch of measurements (I was waiting for Grissom to turn up:-). I'm hoping all their estimates will come up when it gets to court. Would love to see what their guess at his speed is.

Geez...Lucky none of the kiddies playing got hurt. He must have been going faster than 50 surely although the slightest bump can cause damage. Glad no one was hurt!

More than likeley alot more than 50km/hr, thats a massive front yard to skid accross.. Oh well, hopefully he is insured, hopefully even more that they cover him/Your cars to be repaired/paid for etc through insurance, hopefully you are insured so they can do the running around trying to get their money off of him..

Doesn't matter if he's got insurance, if he's over the limit, they wont cover him.

Both the other cars are covered though, so all the people important people are taken care of.

... What an idiot. Hope the fool gets charged. But I doubt he will get anything more than a fine and perhaps suspended license. IMO he should be banned from driving indefinitely. Or at least until he can prove he has grown the hell up and thought about things.

Now while the driving ban won't stop him from driving, at least it gives the cops another reason to lock him up if he does.

They might cover him but yeah you're right, msot insurance companies are well within their rights to refuse his claim. In which case he is really screwed

The plastic P plates melted when the commodore broke the Holden sound barrier at 60km/h

His answer to the police would probably be that he was trying to accelerate out of it.
