Default Could the Shaker be making a return

Looking at the FPV pics and some words from Barret came into my head. This has been mentioned already in some threads

“The [FPV Falcon] model line-up is not significantly changed but there are a few surprises,” says FPV general manager Rod Barrett. “There is a change in the model line-up, there is a change in spec, and there is a major change in appearance on the line-up.”

“When it comes out and when you see it, you’ll see things that I’ve done so you can say, ‘That’s a Rod Barrett FPV,” says the Ford performance boss.

“I hopefully will have achieved major differentiation of the model range and from the mainstream range.

“You might not even see it or even see it as a critical modification for FPV, but I hope you will. I know FPV’s loyal, passionate supporters will acknowledge and acclaim it.”

Now look at the bonnet and the sticker positioning and layout...
EDIT - Or it might just be the racoon eyes...
Oops

No it shouldn't!

Ford has milked and killed 'GT' and 'Cobra'. Shaker was almost killed as a mod for BA/F.

Ford need to design something instead of raping the old stuff.

Apart from the obvious styling "faux pas" a 70's shaker on a modern car is I don't think it would pass ADR's unless it was a subtle "shaker style" scoop actually part of the bonnet rather than a functional piece of the engine poking through the bonnet...

Damn, that looks pretty mean, As for the shaker... I don't think it will suit as nicely as it looks now.

It actually reminds me of Alice Cooper.... the dark eyes and the aggressive look.

Shakers should be left in the 70's along with the HO tag.

New models deserve respect for what they are.

if a GT is supossed to be an in your face vehicle, than i have to say the new FG gt is much more in your face than a ba or bf. so much so that a shaker or differant wheels may be too much.

I think I must be in a state of denial...Love one but other things taken priority....with 2 exceptions...The XA and BA.....My next door neighbour bought a 302 XA Fairmont in 1972 when I was 10 and it was my dream car...Took me 3 years to get used to the XD's and similar with the EA/EB/Ed's....Quite liked the EF/EL's...never got used to the AU unless it was an AU3 XR8.

I actally like the B's with the shaker but probably won't get one...Look good on Rapid.

Shaker on the new model?...maybe ...maybe not.

I think the GT is growing on me but on the other hand I think the BF GT is the last of the true late model muscle cars in appearence. I recon a FG GT in silver with the orange decal kit and shaker would look sweet. Probably be due to update the XR8 in a couple of years so FG update looking good.
