G'day guys,
I've just recently purchased a Focus Titanium diesel and I'm a bit confused about the fuel tank capacity. The brochure says that the diesel has a 60 litre tank yet it only seems to take around 45 litres. This morning the light came on to put fuel in the tank, so I filled it up but it only took around 41 litres. Is the brochure wrong, or am I missing something? |

The most I have ever put in was 52 ltrs and mine was running on vapor at the time!

Actually it looks like the PDF brochure you can download differs in information from whats on the website. Upon looking further I found this
http://www.ford.com.au/cars/focus/sp...s/spec-options Turns out the tank is 53 litres. Elgreko, looks like you were very very close to empty! So it looks as though the light comes on with 10 litres to go. |

Well my LT Focus apparently has a 55litre tank but the most i've ever poured in is about 47 maybe 48 and that was well under empty. I suspect as you point out that at 'empty' there is still about 10 litres left which in these cars is still plenty KMs left

picked my new sport dtci up yesterday and it only took 40lts as well
