Whiteline rear sway bar issue

Hi all,
Just took delivery of my 22mm non adjustable rear sway bar for my 2008 LT TDCi.
Went to install it this morning and noticed that the standard sway bar links bolting points are 'horizontal' whereas the whiteline one is 'vertical' if that makes sense.

I'll try explain that again if it didnt make sense, on the original the bolt runs straight up and down through the sway bar, meaning I need different links which weren't included?
Anyone know what the story is here?

Yea sweet, guess I assumed when it said it would fit an LT that it would come with everything one would need to fit it.

Can the links be bought from the whiteline website because I can't see any other than the quite pricey adjustable links

other than whiteline, who else does decent sway bars and end links for the focus?

this is the first non jap car i've owned...

I think LS/LT genuine ones from Ford are the ones we need.

Sorry... LS/LT? aren't those previous focus models?

i'm hoping to get advice along the lines of "buy "insert band name here"...

or something like: the OEMs are XXmm Front and XX mm rear, so for a balanced upgrade go with the YYmm and YYmm...

Yeah apparently they have the right rear swaybar links to suit the whiteline 22mm rear sway bar. As the holes for the 22mm rear sway bar come out on the sides and the factory sway bar and links have one hole in the middle of the end of the bar.

I've got the bar but can't put it on the car because the links are different.

i can't work out for the life of me why they use such long endlinks...

just makes it the weakest link. and i personally don't like the whiteline endlinks.

I have them and my mechanic said he couldn't use them, so I'm probably going to go to Ford and get the other ones I need.
