Default Brace yourselves focus fans...

Not sure how old this story is, but I suspect it’s very recent.

An “M3 beating” Focus? Yes Please! Looks like the RS may not be dead after all. Let’s hope we get it here this time (if it happens).

In-line six? Fantastic. It's great that they're still building the best engine configuration there is. That in a small(ish) car is the stuff of dreams.

Add 4WD..... cost should be out of my league - I might have to admire from a distance.

Meanwhile, though, an XR5 at $35K (assuming Ford aren't teasing) has me seriously thinking.

I told you, it's coming. Just a matter of when it gets here.

It'll be a monster.

I doubt the RS will ever make it here....

I think the last ST was used as a test case to see if the RS would come to AU. ST wasnt a success to my knowledge, so no RS. Also, the Focus came to Aus so late that there wasnt any point, a new model was just around the corner.

I reckon an FPV Focus Mk II RS is a dead set certainty.

Oops, sorry I hadn't come across it before.

Does anyone know the latest then?

There is a lot of conjecture on some of the other focus forums about whether or not it will actually make it to production.

I guess it will ultimately depend on the success of the other focus models. I think if the ST (aka XR5) sells in large numbers (and why wouldn’t it?), then the RS will become a reality.
