All government fleets should solely use Australian made cars unless they require a type of vehicle that isn't made here.

Quick video (from the States) about the new F150 with the Ecoboost engine.
The dude who's in the video is an multiple emmy award winning presenter

Hopefully the perception that large car = guzzler (as is found amounst most of my non car knowing friends) will start to change...

Everyone listed EXCEPT FOR Kevin Rudd should be commended for driving an Australian built car.

NRMA operating costs (whole-of-life costs) figures:

My RWD TX Ford Territory $243.03 per week
Toyota Prius I-tech $251.35 per week

Fuel is only a small proportion of overall operating costs.
Plus my Territory is Australian-made, supporting Australian jobs.

D..kheads.

(I bet fleet managers love Priuses when they're trying to balance the budget!)

Media beat up.

Good to see most of them are driving cars that are at least built here. But the way the article is set up its like they're all driving 7L V8's. I'm pretty sure the government is wasting tax payer money in a much more wasteful fashion.
