I have a 1981 TF GL Cortina 200 4 speed.
It only has about 80,000kms on it. The gearbox whines in all gears except top gear (4th) which is quiet. Do they all so this? Or do you think I may have a bearing problem? |

Yes it should run quiet so there is a problem. If it is quiet in top gear then my guess is the layshaft/bearings and or the bearing that goes between the input shaft and the mainshaft.
