Regardless of that fact, if there already is a facebook, another is not needed .

I think Melz is Admin on that page and theres a post there where she has locked down the wall. The intention for that page is to keep people upto date when this forum is unavailable. So they wanna keep it going with less posts on the wall so Admin can provide updates.

Melz mainly shut /closed the wall to keep it easier to see updates during the big crash as bucky said so that GT,Russellw and other admin could keep us informed

I didnt think it was to remain closed/locked though maybe Melz could fill us in

Jason

Yeah, the wall and discussion page being closed is a bit of a pain as the car town thread was closed with the intention of moving discussion to the facebook group but we can't do that.

I would be asking Admin for permissions to use the AFF name... there may be some legalities involved

hmm.. the facebook dilema (spelling). i like the car town game on there BUT to get anywhere you have to divulge personal info (which i am not keen on doing).
totally agree with melz re privacy, using the AFF name etc. but is there another way we can do this (ie no face`lame`book ) ?

i dont know. just throwing the question out here

The Facebook page served a purpose while the site was down, but I'm assured that issues/outages will be very very infrequent in the future... so the page is no longer serving a purpose. There is every area in here that you would hope to discuss... FB just gets cluttered with utter rubbish (and stalkers!)

Fair enough, is it possible to get the car town thread re-opened then?
