Default Caliper colour choices for my Venom Red XR8

I have a red XR8 with black wheels and the calipers are currently red. Was thinking a colour change for the calipers might be nice. I'm not really fussed what colour I change to, but was thinking back to silver might be the go, or blue? Gold maybe, or yellow. Orange even? Use the poll to choose a preference - here's a pick of the back wheel for colour reference. I'm not promising to go with the most popular, just interested to see what options others might go. (Purple, Kev???)

I voted Satin Black. Get some black wheel nuts too JC.

Did you paint the rims yourself?

Silver. Painted silver that is. Black wheels silver calipers look trick.

If you are too keen you could always give the calipers a mirror polish!!

Pink would go down a treat as well. I run white deep V (dish kind of) wheels on my pushy with black wheels with pink stripe haha sounds bad looks good =p

nah personal preference is i don't like painted calipers
i think it can detract from the sleek look of nice wheels often
but like i say, 9 other blokes would tell me they disagree

just do it a different colour on each corner. We discussed this with the territory.

But with the premo calipers on the front, would you highlight the tickford wings?

Went with red as thats what colour i will be doing mine, fwiw mate a little black bead running along the recess in the bumper would look good i reckon. Not sure if you will be able to see it in this pic or not but worth a go,looks good in the flesh.

I say gold. Provide a good contrast.

I remember a member on here, highlighted the Tickford symbol dark red, and the rest of the caliper was finished in gold. Looked brilliant.

+1 for Gold

Then gold wheelnuts, gold XR badge and gold (or black) pinstripe that's currently chrome.

Hey Lob, I wasn't aware of your asian connection. This is not an Accura or a Lexus!

I'm actually torn. Was admiring the wheels today (freshly painted black - but thanks for the advice inferno!), and it looks good with the red brakes. I think black could be good too though, with the tickford emblem in red or silver. Yes Moe, the tickford emblem would be in a contrasting colour. Then aghain, silver with black or red emblem, gold with black or anything other than yellow, blue or orange would go OK too. Even then, yellow might look OK.

Maybe I'll just wait for the poll to end in a few more days and go with the second most popular (wouldn't want to go with the most popular, because that was not my intent in the first place).

Red FTW!

You painted the wheels black, now the red calipers really stand out. Nice!
