Exclamation

well I Just got home.
I don't even know where to start so I'll just start at the beginning.
I left home at 3:05pm and had a decent trip out to willowbank with only 2 incompetent drivers obstructing my progress. the funny thing being they where a bf gt and a supra lol.

I got there (had to stop at coomera and get cash, a go via, and a drink.) and breezed through inspection and took my place in what was a quite full staging area. THIS WAS AT 4:35

NOTE TO SELF WEDNESDAY FTW!

after a long delay (over 30 miniutes) the officals began letting people through for runs.
only 10 or so people got a run before there was oil down.

it was 6:30pm before the runs restarted. which was followed by all the crotch rockets getting a run before the cars got a go.

I wait my turn and it eventuall comes 6:50pm
I was quite frustrasted by this time and over heated my tyres with a overkill burnout.
ended up spinning the wheels for a 2.4 60ft hit the limiter (twice ) and crossed the line for an abysmal 15.18@94.8mph.

never mind its only early so i head round and wait my turn for run #2.
7:46pm was a very big line. only good thing was my tortured tyres & gearbox had time to recuperate.
Pre-stage and do a smaller burnout and lightly over fuel the car and it stalled.. ops..
i fire it back up using my *plug*ftg auto salvage starter button. line up and stall it to 2500rpm lift a little and belt it as the light goes green. a little wheel spin not a lot and a 2.23 60ft clean changes all the way and i crossed the line for 14.158@102.7.

As I'm collecting my time slip I hear over the P/A that there oil down again.
"to hell with this I'm going home"

7:50pm. I leave willowbank and head for the gold coast... oh bugger the Ipswitch motorway is completely closed. a very long and bumper to bumper detour later it get home at 10:00pm

So that's 2 runs in almost 7 hours. Not a great effort. I usually average at-least 1 per hour including travel.

even though I failed to eclipse my pb of 13.9@115mph which infact wasn't my goal on street tyres, I'm quite pleased with my final time. It also make me confident in my 13.6 prediction for my car with my drag tyres and 15's.
now time for some food and some sleep.

14.1 on street rubber is still pretty respectable! Well done!

Shame about the lack of runs..
