MCG standing room tickets

Hey everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has gone to a match at the G with standing room tickets ?
I may have the opportunity to get tickets this weekend !!

: They are standing room though, Just wondering where abouts the standing areas are and what you can see.

You can see most things that happen on the ground from the standing room areas, there are TV's set up above most standing room areas which have a direct feed from the scoreboard incase you can't see a certain bit of play.

Try and get there as early as you can to get the best viewing position.

I got standing room to the grand final last year, we got in pretty early and while its annoying to have to stand for the whole match you get a good view, probably better than some of the seats on the upper levels

Years ago, when you could take your own beer into the ground, the beverage container of choice was the large (26oz) beer can!... After drinking they were ideal to stand on for extra height... (ahh, THOSE were the days)

There will be 2 of us, so hopefully we can just tag, one goes and gets the beers while the other waits

Where abouts is the standing room ? is it floor level or a couple levels up ? Behind glass ?

yeah, I've read the forecast, doesn't sound good with thunderstorms and hail.... Guess we're lucky that we got standing rooms tickets, at least we will keep dry
