Hey guys.
im pretty sure ive read something about this issue before but cant find in on AFF...but im getting very annoyed with this particular noise. ive been on holiday in Tazi for a few days now....and with all the windy bumpy roads, i keep hearing the ABS/ ESP click while doing around 80kmh+. now this noise comes on every time i hit a bump on a corner...and sometimes it clicks repeatedly afterwards. now im not sure if its something to be concerned about or if its normal. if it is normal, i cannot understand why it needs to engage/ reset after every damn bump when it engages once the car goes over 20kmh. anthony |

Did you let your tyres come off contact with the road ? Or it "skidded" on some sand ?
The ESP might detect your wheel in the air as a "wheel spin" and tries to stop that wheel from spinning, thus the activation ? |

The clicking would be the relay switching on and off. They're mounted behind the glovebox and not in the engine bay like most other cars. That's why you can hear them.
Doesn't explain why it's a little over-active tho. Can you actually feel it cut or reduce power? I know mines pretty noticable when it cuts in.

no it is not cutting or reducing power. the traction control light does not come on either. i can just hear the click.
i am pretty confident in saying that the wheels are not spinning, sliding or leaving the ground....i dont push the car that hard lol. could low brake fluid cause the clicking noise? |
