Thumbs down Brisbane Motorshow Feb 1 to 10 . Cost !!!

I was going to go to the BSMS but FORD will only have the FPV Territory on display. No other new cars, just current stock. !!! Holden will have a special release plus Cadillac, Corvette.?
$17.50 entry ($2.50 more than last year) Plus $12 for parking makes it a very expensive arvo. I rang BSMS organisers and asked" if show goers could get a discount for parking" I was told "no they have no control over parking fees" If you go to the Brisbane Caravan Show, parking is $5.
They really need to come to some agreement on parking.

Catch the train in and pay for your ticket and train ride together, $19.50 last year.

DJR will be unveiling their new livery there, and so will Ingall PMM car, any truth to this?

grabbing the train is probably the best idea, parking is way too expensive.

Sunday Mail "said Ford will have only the FPV Territory on display" no mention of DJR and Ingall cars. Train is ok near a station and bogans won't break into the car while you are away !!!

Won't be bothering this year, last few years have been quite average.

I hate all those boats shows/home shows etc - i can't believe that you have to pay to get in to look at stuff they want to sell you, may as well charge a dollar to get into coles.

I get free tickets everyyear, but will have to pay for parking (tax deduction neways).

Dissapointing for Ford dealers up here that Ford wouldnt atleast send one ORION, since they will be releasing pics on the 6 of Feb neways...

Its going to look good having BF mark IIs there, that are out of date (not).

What nearly thirty dollars? You could buy 2 packets of cigarettes or a couple of flagons or drive around going doof doof doof for a couple of hours for that much money....

Some people travel for many hours and stay overnight just to see what is at the show. Maybe they appreciate the effort that the stall holders go to and enjoy all facets of motor vehicles not just the "boys own fantasies".

We get free entry, parking etc every year so I've seen a few of them - if you haven't gone in recent years, you're not missing much. I don't even know if I'll make the effort to go this year. I probably will, only as it will be during work hours, but I really wouldn't go out of my way to go to the Brisbane show, especially if you had to pay. I haven't been very impressed over the past few years. Maybe this year will be different (fingers crossed).

My wife and I went last year as we were in the market for a new 4cyl wagon and wanted to have a look at what was available. Ended up striking a deal with the Mitsubishi guys. $30 entry for the two of us ended up saving us over $5k on a new Lancer. Plus made a few mates through the Ford stand who encouraged me to join their car club. Had a great day out and will be happy to go again this year.

If it's on the PF site, it must be true!

Those ticket prices are high. At least Melbourne should have a little more to show...

Really, it doesnt matter, take the family to southbank afterwards, have some icecream and a swim and make a day of it.
I go to southbank everyweekend, and have to apay parking, people drive to work and have to pay parking, its just an added expense, but its only $12.

My parking will be free, My shop is just across the road
Still $17.50 is a bit steep, I'll need to hit my reps up I think....
