Default black rims and bluewall tyres?

well i decided not to sell the AU everyone talked me out of it, and more price dropping was out of the question.

my sisters friend has a vs commodore with black roh fury's with green walls on the tyres and it looks good. so this is what gave me my idea. he can get my rims powdercoated black cheap, then ill get the bloke out to put blue walls on my tyres. gives the car a different look without spending heaps of cash.

here is a photochop i did to get an idea, what do you think?

As someone who's had black rims before I can honestly say you will probably get very sick of them within 12 months.
The black on blue looks good.. but it gets a little old after a while. Just my opinion.

was then thinkning, the carbon firbe bonnet with the ba buldge and the two stickers that run down the side of the buldge, to be narooma blue, with tickford logo's in them. and the carbon fibre bi plane spoiler made for the au2/3's.

i can get it done fairly cheap, so i might as well give it a go, see what is looks like. if it looks bad then ill just change rims. at the moment though im bored with my cars looks and want to make it different to everyone elses out there.

i had black OZ racing wheels ( 5 spokes that most v8 supercars run) on my black S3 it looked hot! I reckon it would look good. Every time you get tyres put on though the tyre shop will scrath the powder coating of around the rim if your not careful.

Looks great. I've been looking into the colour coding of the tyre walls. Certainly an interesting look.

I like the idea of black rims and the blue walls. You should do it.

Not a fan.

What price did you get to on the car though, as a matter of interest?

Not my style, but to me a set of chromies with the bluewalls would really set it off.

i put the car down to $16k there was no way i was going lower. loose to much money in the end and thats not worth it,

i dont think id be a fan of just powdercoating the inside of the spokes, rather the whole rim to be done.

big chromies with bluewalls would look good, but id rather spend my money on something else, doing this changes the looks of the car, without blowing the budget. down the track i might change wheels, but not for a while. rather have more zing than bling lol.

IMO,

Black go well on dished rims with the lip polished on chromed. The polish/chrome breaks up the sea of black and will looks even better when its spinning.

Otherwise it just looks too black.

Go for it, the rims might look better in a Gunmetal Grey darkened up a tinge though or adding large metallic speckles in the black - Im thinking of doing a similar thing to the GT - CF Bonnet and painting the insides of the envy's.....
