just wonderin if anyone on here has put a e series 4L/3.9L?? into a te/tf corty? if so what was involved? im thinking about it for a future project. any input would be appreciated

a few things u'll need to modify/manufacture right from the word go:
sump/pickup
engine mounts
exhaust manifold/extractors
fuel lines
surge tank
fuel pump
tunnel
rear crossmember
heater box
and about 200 other things which are insignificant or i cant remember

about the only two things which are compatible are the cortina tailshaft goes into the back of a falcon transmission and is good enough to be the right length. and the other is a cortina speedo cable goes into the back of a falcon trans too.

Hi mate, the answer to that question is NO. I had to graft a 4.1L corty sump(bottom half) to the 3.9L(top half). I can't remember exactly how many hours i spent doing but it was somewhere around 15-20 hrs. And I am an apprentice boilermaker!!! And the pickup has to be modified as well!!!
I don;t think that there is much that don't have to be modded :

theyres loads of excellent cars out there that you never hear about.. and only catch a glimpse of on the street sometime but never see them on forums or in magazines and they deserve to be shown off.

i recon your orange TE with the 1jz gte in it was pretty sick
had a look @ the photos of that yesterday when i was looking for some pix of a TE with its door open showing the B Pillar.

im like mmm 1jz power! to bad it melted the piston :(

Got that right bro, like your 1JZ I melted me some pistons, damn pump fuel, can only get you so far....
