Default CFI to MPFI DIY

Putting the fuel injected parts off my wrecked EBII eg; dizzy, fuel pump, manifold etc, onto my CFI EA. Need to know about wiring loom and all other info and advice anyone has got for me. Will be starting it this saturday, do or die, preferably do coz I dont want to walk to work on Tuesday. totally commited. EA is immaculate S pack but performance is a joke. Any advice?

Tape that can be written on is a must ......... As you are removing the wires make sure you tag where it comes from ...... every wire ....... is a slow process but well worth the effort ......

Apart from that make sure you collect all of the loom ........ it looks tricky but once you get started it isnt that hard.

You will find there are a few wires that dont match up colour wise but thats where you need a pen & a wiring diagram, mark down a list of wires(colours) and then match them upto where they belong...... also you will find some of the wires will be different in the dash area ......

I know it makes this little exercise a bit harder but the effort is well worth it ;)

Do a search in the e-series section, you will find plenty of info on this conversion, has been done many times.

For a start, the MPI ECU and MPI loom aint gonna work with your EA due to smart lock being introduced with the EBII. i think some other plugs may be different as well. other than that, this tutorial explains a fair bit more ;)
