Default Does anyone OWN a BF GT-P that can help me please

This is a strange request and I hope its ok I post this here.

I have posted it in the Wanted section with no luck so now I am trying here.

I am after a owner of a BF GT-P who would be willing to lend me their Vin number, first name and surname so I can order a Pair of Genuine Spot light surrounds for my front Bar.

The ones that came with the bar are of and absolute poor finish and I'm sick of not having surrounds.

Please PM me if you can Help.

Cheers...Kev

I don't know that many people would really like to give out that kind of info, so maybe try going the other way.
They ring up the dealer you want to get it from, and order it, then you pick it up?

The owner would need to sign a Stat-Dec to "prove" they were being ordered
to replace broken/damaged parts.

Even to order some badges the Parts Manager must sign to say the parts are for the vehicle listed.

Don't AWC have aftermarket bars for these cars?????

You dont need to sign anything.
I have ordered stuff before in the BA series, its just this time I want the BF series and all my mates ar still in BA's.

The bar and all the bits came from AWC.
Love the Bar just a pitty about the surrounds needing so much work.

Both on my GT have broken and fallen out.

I had to sign before they would order the parts.

Wow thats the first I have ever herd of that.

I know the Parts manager pretty well maybe he has taken care of that in the past.

Thanks for the heads up,

Also good to know they fall out so there is a good excuse to needing new ones.

Dont spose you need to order 2 more...lol

Hehehehe.

Mine are only GT ones. :(

I wanted to keep my old ones but FPV/Ford warranty took them back. (recalled or what ever you'd like to call it)

As for get around the system..... It's stupid.

Whem BF FPV's were launched, you could still order FPV fender badges for a BA as they were not on restriction....
but are the same as BF ones.... Then FPV/Ford woke up and put them back on the restricted list.

I spent 9 years in Ford Spare Parts here in WA.... <shudder>
As the cars get "older" the parts slowly come off restriction.

the OLNY issue i see with this is that it would go down on the history of that VIN that that car required spotlight surrounds, which if the owner of that car ever decided to sell up, and a prospective buyer checked history would look like the car has been in a minor prang.....

i work in parts (not at ford) and know this for fact

Speaking of GT-Ps, saw a really nice one at Waverley Park tonight.
Octane with black stripes package.
Thumbs up to ya.

Pity the South Dragons lost V Taipans.

It may not be a stat dec, recently my panel beater needed some parts from FPV front bar badges etc: the parts were brought out by there courier and they had to be signed off and it was all security checked and form had to be filled out.

2 weeks ago I went to order some gauge pods for my brother, on my build number FPV are checking on the Ford dealers had to supply name, address, vin and phone number.
Of the seven parts ordered for the PODS FPV have a security check on the bottom panel.
FPV are sick of seeing there spares on Ebay and its the dealers that are putting it there either directly or in-directly.

Okay I'll rephrase it.

MOST dealers in Perth are now asking you to sign a form or Stat-dec.
As Spoolman has said, FPV and Ford are sick of seeing parts turn up on vehicles other than their own.
The dealers themselves were something the ones doing it.
I remember many times the used car manager ordering Tickford parts (wheels, badges etc) in bulk and then using them as deal sweeteners.
