Default Very cool CG site

Have a look at this, some people have alot of talent, wish I had the apps and PC to do some of this stuff, amazing!

http://www.cg-cars.com/forum/gallery...images.php?c=5

Some good backgrounds there too. I know there are a couple of people here who are into it, so enjoy.

How deep is your wallet? Can't imagine the stuff needed would be cheap! :

Then you need a lot of patience and time. The engine is very detailed in the General Lee that's why I posted it ;)

Probably in the same place we all found the time to post on this forum rather than doing our work!

Seriously, however when something is your passion you make the time if that's what is important to you. For many graphic artists, it's an obsession rather than a hobby.

I love 3d, it takes approximatly your entire life to master though. although my car models are fairly crap in comparison, in fairness to me it was my first attempt at a car model.

The applications are expensive. I use Lightwave3d which would be the cheapest but a good all round product. Other apps available are maya, 3ds max, xsi and cinema 4d, plus more. There are even some free ones kicking about too.

At least you guys appreciate these images because a lot of uneducated people think that this kind of thing is easy because its "all computer generated"

If i find the time and to do a falcon i'll do a work in progress on the forum so you can see how long it can take and the steps involved.

http://www.smcars.net/ is the place to go, I uploaded the XB coupe blueprints that I used there, as for other falcons I think V8 supercar ones are all thats on there. unfortunatly decent accurate prints of aussie cars are too few.
