iPhone SE on 2015 LZ Focus

I just updated my iPhone SE to IOS 11.3, after missing a few previous updates.

On my 2015 LZ Focus, I now have very limited telephone functionality, with the vehicle's voice recognition at close to zero, and the phone book refusing to be updated. Since my model Focus only has SYNC2, maybe that's all I can expect, and I am not complaining — I finally have a use for Siri on the iPhone!

I just want to check here to see if there is anything I can do. Upgrading to SYNC 3 looks very expensive.
