Default Di Filippo in Newie

I want to throw a Di Filippo exhaust (cat back) under my BA XR8. Does anyone know who stocks DiFilippo around Newcastle or do I need to order one in myself... or go to Sydney...

Feel free to reopen the DiFilippo v Herrod debate too. I'm 80% sold on DiFilippo at this stage thinking it will be louder?

It will certainly be louder if you go the stainless steel 3" into 3-1/2" rear.

As Chris said the brand owns all the strip records.

Aussie Car Enhancements are a Di Filippo stockist and we can send you a system via our freight company no problems at all.

Regards Craig

what is there to debate , our system is legal with certifacation and has a 10 year warranty.Sydney is the hardest state when it comes to loud exhausts, but its your car and your desision . :

It's a simple debate, loud or quite. I choose loud and am looking to drop the rear muffler's out to make it louder again.

Thanks for the replies.

Craig, re 3" into 3 1/2" rear, just wondering if that will resonate too much because i've got an auto. Same question for dropping the rear mufflers (tempted after a mate did that to his monaro - tough alright).

Is the Di Filippo twin 2 1/2" the best bet or just the soft option?

OK, the 3" into 3-1/2" is OK nice and tough and the sound in the cabin is still nice not loud. By dropping the rear muffler you will lose power but of course it will be louder, this is not an option IMO but fun for drag days etc.

Yes the 2 - 1/2" is the "SOFT" option.

Cheers Craig

Hrrm the 3 into 3 1/2 sounds like a good option. Im deciding what to do at this stage. Go on a holiday or pump more cash into the car. I have even found a nice s/c setup in the states.

Won't fit a Boss engine, the lil old 4.6 runs shorter deck height so intake port's are further apart on our Boss.

Thanks again Craig. I was heaps keen on the 3" until I got a quote. I wasn't expecting the 3" to be over twice the price!! (s/s only). Time to pick out some tips for me 2 1/2"
