hey guys,
just wondering if any1 has any advice about doing a custom job on a mk1 escorts brake booster setup. i've been working on my car for a while re-building it and now hav the brake booster problem as it doesnt fit in the origanal spot with the motor i have. ( im going from a 2l pinto to a Ca18det) i heard u can mount the big round brake booster on the fire wall, then put the brake booster bottle in the boot connected to ur brakes. if any1 has any advice, or has done it and could post some pictures it would be greatly appreciated. thanks, James. you could always look into a Bias pedal box.
I am just putting one into a mk2 now. Master cylinders are behind the dash. I know on the mk2's you can bolt the master cylinder directly to the fire wall and get rid of the booster. Bit of messing around with brake lines though
