Condition, reasonable- some rust to be sorted, all original badges/seats etc with car. Roof is now black vinyl-must have been changed when resprayed.
Now I always thought it was dark brown and that it just looked black depending on how good a job I did of cleaning it!

BTW still looking to setup fordlandau.com up with something, got an idea in the works, the move to QLD is slowing things down though!

Hi all

Quick question. It appears that my engine is not the original engine as it is a JC63SE. Can anyone assist with the type of car the engine is out of being a "jc"

Thanks

Ok, finally getting around to add my Landau to the register...

JG70PU99839K
Eng T
Trans B
Trim P4
Paint H
White vinyl roof (previous owner replaced in last 5-7 years)
Dealer: Rod Lawrence Ford, Queen St, Campbelltown NSW (coincedently my father in law bought a brand new Apollo Blue LTD in the same year from the same dealer - wishes he kept it now lol)
Plated 6/74
Registered/Sold: 26th September, 1974
Has 86000 miles on the odometor but this has stopped on a number of occassions, previous owner reckoned it had probably travelled about 120000 miles.
Have the original owners manual and tons of receipts.
Matching numbers motor
Painted in original colour
Currently on Special Vehicle Registration, was fully registered up until July 07

Condition: Good overall condition, have found some evidence of rust in the usual places that will be sorted out when money permits. Paint needs attention, hoping to respray in next few months as previous owner had a someone back into passenger side front that was not fully repaired or repainted. Interior good, upholstery will need to be done down the track. Fella we bought it off had owned for 15 years, he bought it from the original owner. We bought it in April this year.

I will try and get the details for the other 2 landaus I know of in the area (if they are willing) when I catch up with them again.

There is also a register started on www.aussiecoupes.net maybe joining info could be worthwhile as to not double up. 17 have been registered. I am to follow up with someone in Orange who converted a landau into a Falcon coupe. Why???

Give em a deserved kick in the ring mate, thats a silly thing to do to a Landau!

I haven't had time to gather the info from the aussiecoupes site yet but we should do so.

hey guys,
can also try:

www.thehardtopregistry.com

this also points to the same database that out www.aussiecoupes.net one uses.

we dont actually publish the vins (for those concerned about vehicle security), but we can see what month the cars were made, and how many there are. you can also leave comments about the cars

feel free to check it out.

There are 20 in our registry at the mo (3/9/07), we'd love to get a comprehensive list of what's out there.

I invite all of you who have your cars listed here to list them in our registry as well.

Interesting car....hit $27,000 on Ebay yesterday but didn't make its reserve...a beautiful example but a steep asking price for a non matching numbers vehicle. Engine is from a '74 LTD sadly!

The globes aren't factory option from the factory but if they are the same year, they may have been swapped over by the dealer at the time.

I knew of some old alarms that had a key that turned them off and on. Does it have anyold wiring behind it?

It shouldnt be an issue (as long as no-one here objects) but only if I can at a later stage get all the info from both here and your site as we are working on a specific Landau website; ask the guys on there too if they are happy to do so. Cheers, Jamie

Default Another new one - albiet I've owned it for years!

I thought I had mine on here, but nope!

Owned: 14 years, second owner.
Build: 11/75
Paint: V (Apollo Blue)
Roof: White
Trim: P4 (Parchment Leather)
Engine: T
Trans: B
Options: 72 (Stereo Cassette)
Matching no's.
Under full resto.

Got more details but they're in bub's room and he's sleeping so it's a no go zone!! (Thumb stuck on forehead by wife!)

EDIT:
1. Just noticed that 73Landau has posted Paint V for Wild Violet. Z is Wild Violet mate...

2. Paint V doesn't list in your specifications either Dave under the technical section.

10 points for picking my typo in my paint code. Yes it is Z.
It has annoyed me since I done it but was too late to edit when I realized.
Cheers Greg
