Question Need help, AU Freaks Needed??

ok guys, my cousins looking on buying a AU XR8 REBEL, how do we know if its the genuine rebel or just a mock up rebel??

i cant tell the difference because i wouldnt know what to look at exactly, but its got the rebel kit, momo steering wheel, the white tickford speedo, cant see no rebel badges anywhere??

You get the VIN - ring Ford - they tell you. There's no other way to be sure. If someone is going to do a mock up and try to pass it off as the real deal you can be sure they've dummied everything so no amount of inspection will tell you.

What's it's build date? Rebels were only late AUII IIRC?

The white speedo is not an XR thing so that has been added by somebody at some stage. They come on T series models but it's not uncommon to see the fascias on Ebay and theyre an easy mod to do - Ive got one in my ute.

and dont forget the black switches and air vents that have been put in too ;) it REALLY sets off the dash even more than just the plain 2 tone grey dash hahaha
