Default question about escort

i have a 1973 ford escort with a 1.3L hc motor, does anyone know the firing order for it, as the thing wont start and im getting impatient.

1.3 Escort. That takes me waaaay back. I hope it's not an auto! 0-100 in 45 seconds. Thought I'd give it a good clean one morning and pulled out all of the leads, firing order, what's a firing order Dad?

AFIK, the auto tunnel is the one to get as its large enough to take a Sierra 5 speed.

The best way to fire up a 1.3lt Escort is to unbolt the 4 bolts either side of the motor, throw out the thing in between and bolt in one with a 2.0 on the side, preferrably with a couple of things with weber written on the side.
0-100 down to about 9.0 secs :

Crossflow motors are actually 1-2-4-3.. different to every other 4 cylinder!
