Hi Guys!
Just got myself a Ford Cougar! 2002 V6 Beast! I want to know if its possible to get some form of supercharger fitted and/or a Turbo? I realise there isnt much room under the hood to play with, but can it be done? I'm also after a bodykit if anyone has any places i can get quotes havnt been able to find anyone that does them for cougars yet |

Do a search on Google and you'll find a number of people have turboed both Cougars and Contours (USA Mondeo V6 - same engine, engine bay etc).
www.contour.org is a good place to start looking- in the forums. There are also a number of US based Cougar forums that should have info.

You wont be able to find a turbo kit here but you can get the vortech supercharger kit from capa. I can't recall the price though. Have a look on their site and give them a call.

Welcome!
Post pics! ...and whereabouts are you? Look at the above two posts for Supercharging/Turbo options. A lot of money tho. As for bodykits, with the 02 shape you'd be looking at something like ProfessorSabre's Wings West/Visteon combination, or importing bodykit pieces from the States or Europe. Abraxas |

yeah there isn't much room under there, seems to be the story for a lot of 4 cylinder Fords. Superhcharging sounds like a good option. One let down for the Cougar is the weight meaning the V6 is a little bit sluggish.
We had one traded in at work Silver 2001 Model I was thinking of buying, I saw 2 bad reviews on the net and driving it comfirmed what they said so I gave it a miss. Beautiful looking cars though, and not many around at all Rob |

Mine is a silver 2002 V 2.5 Litre Cougar.. Havnt got any pics up yet, but it looks like the stock standard silver 2002 cougars ;)
I really dont know which mod to do first.. i was reviewing what is available, and the pricing.. and think im leaning towards a better air intake filter + custom twin pipe exhaust system ? What do you guys think? I think it will make the most noticable performance boost for the time being, without sending the bank balance right down too much. Any recommendations for a good sports/exhaust specialist in VIC? im in Warragul.. Think ill go a free flowing CAT, extractors and 2 exhausts |
