Default AU's in Ford magazines

Its really starting to bug me that the last three times i've bought a Ford car magazine and each time its been a triple pack, That i struggle to find anything on the AU's! Nearly nothing in terms of advertising for parts, and as for features on AU falcon's just forget it! I struggle to find pictures of Au's even. What gives? It seem's that the AU is the forgotten Falcon.

It seems as though the magazines are turning their back on the last of the Windsor V8's.
And im so sick of seeing XR6 turbos covered over and over again!

Yes it sure is not given much if any press.....sad to be honest as they are a top Ford though the unloved child due to its futuristic shape.
The AU time on the race track was stifled due to politics though thankfully Stones/Ambrose started sticking it up GM at the late stages but another reason why many enthusiasts have bypassed it and the press again.

The many fine examples I see here on the forums don't seem to interest the mags but hopefully soon as I know a photographer will be turning up for a day at the TSeries National Meet held in Barossa Valley in about 2wks a article will get to print in the future !

The other thing to do is let the mags know your feelings, easy get on their websites, email the editor etc....

As much as i hate to say it they're getting a bit long in the tooth by about now, they won't last forever.

Don't worry boys - keep up the good work in keeping the AU's on the road and in pristine condition. People do not understand the feeling of a Windsor V8, the sound and the way a Tickford handles the twisty bits.

Good examples will definately keep their value as time goes on, just gotta stay true to the brand.

I was in touch with someone from Performance Ford a year or two ago and he suggested I get some AUs together for their mag but I never got around to it. Has that magazine shut down? I can't seem to find it anymore.

yep. they're entering that terrible phase where they're not old and tough and cool like an x-series, but just thoroughly not-modern and out of fashion like the e-series. I knew it had to happen one day, i think the AU has done quite well to put it off this long, 12 years in some cases.
