Default Pop-up Notification

Good evening

I have had a few PM's asking about the new pop-up notification box.

We have implemented this to provide a tool that we can use to communicate changes to AFF in a manner that isn't too obtrusive but which is noticeable. You will see each message for a pre-determined period after which it will disappear.

The first one we have implemented provides an update on the changes made to the site T&C and this will be visible to all members every 48 hours for the next week or so after which you will only see it if you haven't logged on for awhile.

There is also a non pop-up message box that will appear under the navbar with relevant information for various user groups.

Cheers
Russ

Thanks for this.. I was wondering why that came up. I also thought I was getting into trouble for something.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one.

I haven't seen it.

Logged out of AFF in Firefox and back in, no popup.

Did something I don't normally do and loaded IE - logged in using that, no popup.

I've seen the big bold red box about 3 times now. Don't mean to be rude, but is there any point? Really?

I know to be polite etc and dont get involved with inter-personal fights etc, I come here to offer advice and ask for help.

The first time I saw it I thought I was reported for something, then when it came up the next two times I hadnt even been on the forum. I can understand a popup giving info about policy changes etc but, without being rude, its not kindergarten, why show me this anti bully thing if I haven't had time to visit the forum for a while?
