For a luxo mobile, that is a good time. If I could get the wagon into the low 8s high 7s, I would be extremely happy.

JC If my wagon can do it and its a fair dinkum no bull under 7.5 seconds for sure everytime anywhere you can too. Its all time and money spent of course like everything else. Mine stock was doing a BEST 16.8 for the 400m and now will do 15.6 maybe a bit better now with the Unichip who knows.

Jay Goodwin the drag racer had an AU V8 wagon tow car that he did some work on 347 stroker etc and it went very well.

My 0-100 is 7.1 seconds. If I input that to the calculator it gives me a 15.52 1/4 mile.

I havent done a 1/4 mile at the track. Is this acceptable as a 1/4 mile time for me?

lol, sorry useless, calculator 1/4 times are WAY off usually. If they were accruate I should have ran a 14.7 ages ago.

Hard to say really. It didnt appear to be too far off. I'd say on mine it was 0.1 seconds give or take.

It would be a good indication but its not really an accruate measure. Racing on a track is different to racing on the road.
Still, what the GTech says will certainly give you a good idea. If you get 15.5 on the GTech its a safe bet that you'll get between 15.7 and 15.3 at the track. Its only accruate enough for a guide though.

or better yet - take it to the drags

Then youll not only get a ET and TS, but you will get a break down of how you covered the 400. You can then work out where you need to direct your attention to make it faster.

I just noticed my calc'd times in there, not really the best 6.79 :( ,Id had the car and only been driving a manual again for 2 weeks before that 15.3's were run. I even went as slow as 16.2, I know there's an easy 14 ,just my feet dont

this thread is giving me a complex about my driving now!

The chips (uni or chiptorque) have a pretty dramatic difference. Most people that get them realise soon after that the dyno increase is not all that much (5 or 10rwkw) but the effect lower in the rev range is massive. So yes, 0-100 they make a big difference. So much so that those that have them are reluctant own a car without them again in most cases.

I purchased a Chiptorque in November... and have been very happy with it.

Drop me a PM, I'm also in Hoppers Xing so we should be able to catch up for a chat if you want.

Forte after I finished it ran 7.0 to 7.4 the Tickford VCT would be about the same as it's got more torque and 3.45 LSD but is about 20 kw down on the forte with stage 2 cam, exhaust and extractors

I6 5.95 seconds - hamo AU (Calc)
I6 6.00 seconds - Useless AU wagon, auto (Gtech)

Sorry Stav, I cant swallow that AT ALL. Hamo is running a 14.3 second 1/4 and has everything done to it. It is also a far lighter car. There is just NO WAY you are within 0.05 seconds of it 0-100. Gtech or not, its just not possible IMHO. If it is then you will be running a 14.4 or 14.5 second 1/4.. meaning your wagon has become the second fastest I6 auto on the forums.. Sorry.. no chance.
If other disagree with me then they are free to post their opinion but I dont accept it at the moment with nothing more than a GTech to back it up.

Doesnt Hamo also have wider tyres and a stallie too?

Good effort getting half a second off with race trim Casper (guessing its tyres and an empty boot). Have you ran the car down the strip with the stallie yet?
