Default I'm moving South

Hey everyone just thought I would let you all know that I'm packing the family up and we are moving south!! We are leaving behind Tropical Townsville and swapping it all for Orange!!! I've got a job at the mine there. So Just thought I'd let all you guys around that region know that we are heading down.

Very exciting for you! I used to work at the mines there until about a month ago!!!!

Will be a big change in climate though, as long as the family doesnt mind the cold you'll be fine

Decent amount of modified cars in Orange as well ... moreso than Bathurst ... coppers can be ruthless out there too.

Everyone has been saying about the temperature change, it is actually something we are looking forward to, after not having a winter for the last nine years it should be good!! They had a -10 at the mine this year!!! People have also been telling us that it does get hot down there, again we know this but there is bugger all humidity so stand in the shade with a breeze and you cool down!!

Mothernature - Where are you? That way we can let you guys know when we are on our way past?

Summer in Orange ... no breeze ... no shade ... and humidity can get high on somedays outwest.

It can get quite oppresive ... it's not like the coast where there is a seabreeze. You might get a westerly ... but that can be like a blast furnace.

That was one thing they said to me at my interview, it is a place that does have four seasons!

We won't actually be going through Dubbo because we are going down to Wollongong for Christmas, then back up from there on Boxing day to move in on the Monday.

We get on the road on Wednesday and head inladn from here to Charters Towers and then down the inland Highway to Emerald for our first night stop. Then to Goondiwindi for the night, the wife and I then need to work out what we are doing from there, she wants to stay at Tamworth for the night were I want to push on down to the Gong, will let you know more when we sought it all out.
