Default Strut Braces

does anybody know who makes strut braces for XR6's?
i was thinking maybe pedders but any other suggestions would b really nice

I doubt anyone would. The AU is fairly stiff anyway, but you could make your own, I suppose, though not sure for what purpose you'd need one in a 6.

You really don't need one - just put a bigger swaybar in if it's a concern.

so putting in like a nothleane bush kit would solve some problems. its pretty light around the 40 mark

It certainly wouldnt hurt but it is a fair cost for one of their evolution kits.

i called auto barn and it was like $90 for the front link pin bush kit ( i think thats it. goes on to the sway bars)

What are the perceived "problems" that you think a strut brace is going to help? The speed sensitive steering rack?

If you are simply doing it for looks - go for it!

deff not going for looks. my car is just really light and not solid through the hills. i was talking to a mate that has a WRX and he reckoned strut braces would help make things more solid.

Well maybe it would if your car had true struts that determine the suspension geometry (like your mates Subaru). Your Falcon has double wishbone front suspension. If your unhappy check the tyre pressures and have a decent wheel alignment done, only then look at upgraded shocks/springs/swaybars and forget all about a strut brace - cause you don't really have struts

I think Pedders do them. I recall enquiring about one for a Falcon a few years ago but they dont stock them. They have to get them made when ordered or something along those lines.

Tyre pressure is kept up at 38 psi always wheel alignment is done every 10,000k. I'll look into other suggestions. Thanks fellas

Yeah, do swaybars and maybe get some high end shocks and new springs...
Will certainly make it feel alot tighter through the mountains..!!

I'd be thinking about bushes first! How many K's has the car got on it? Stock bushes are rubber and I bet they've seen better days and Nolathane style bushes are going to tighten the front end up a fair bit, then maybe think about sway bars after that.

cars done 160.000 im ordering whiteline 27mm sway bars next week. hoping that will stiffen things up a bit. also will look into new front shocks
