Default One for the Ford Gurus

Ok, while chatting with a work colleague last night the topic of his Keep Up With The Jones' neighbour came up. Apparantly this dude gets whatever he gets within months, and even tries to better the outcome. Well my mate mid last year bought a BA wagon for his misses, replacing the old clunker they had. So 5 months later the neighbour get's, what he calls, a limited edition XR8. Allegedly called a Venom. Apparantly it has Venom decals and everything....

After hearing this, I said. "So it's red then? Because Venom is a ford colour, and probably meant a Venom Red XR8." Mate's reply was "No it dark silver, and has Venom decals." Hmmmmm?

So being relatively new on the ford scene, I thought I'd throw the topic open. Was there a XR8 Venom? Or should I tell my mate to laugh at him?

I'm not up with the new models so much. Can't remember what it was called but there was two utes that came out with a special name that to me looked like a stock XR8 ute. One was yellow?
Looked up Venom XR8 and it just shows picks of venom red xr's. I'd say its just the colour actually.

It's a bit like people who SWEAR they have a GTHO phase 1? No such thing. Ford NEVER named them that. It was just a GTHO, nothing more, nothing less
