Are the HP measures the same as KW ?

No. Power (kW) = Power (HP) x 0.7457

In NSW, the dyno runs were recorded in kW

I had a great time!. Thanks to Spoolman, Autotech and the crew for organizing the NSW section of the AFF 2nd Annual Dyno Day.

It was good to meet some new people from the forum and see a lot of different cars on the day.

So none of the class 1's turned up in Qld???? I wanted to see what Rob's car was going to do

And what the hell were you driving in Sydney Sean (Photn)? Is that how powerful a Fiesta on its roof is? Or have you tricked up Matt's car already??

(But you're not going to like the Vic result when you see it!!!LOL)

A big thankyou to the Melbourne crew, and to GD and their MAGNIFICENT new facility. And a special thanks from me for setting up for the only FWD of the day in Melbourne. Thanks guys

One of our friends decided to take Sean's spot since Sean didnt have a car to run on the dyno. It was a stock Fiesta XR4.

We had no-one for Class 1 or Class 5 hence making a third in Class 2 and Class 3. It was talked about and on the help and advice of Gill (hope I spelt your name right), she is the wife of Steve (both being the RDP owners) we did a 3rd place.

It was a great day thanks to David and the boys @ KPM Motorsport for putting on a great day for SA AFF members. The weather was sweet and it was nice to catch up with the SA crew and put some names to faces.:

PS Jac & Eamon thanks for letting me have a drive of the black beast. :

What a good day. Thanks Spoolman, autotech and all the attendees. Was good to meet new people and see some insane dyno graphs. Would have to say highlight for me was seeing RAPID6's power curve. An almost vertical increase of about 200rwkw was sensational. So cheers everybody for a wonderful day, Evan.

A big thanks to Spoolman and autotech engineering for a great event. It was nice to meet the guys from the forum and Nick behaved well.

Before i left I promised I would post my dyno for guys to have a look at.An untuned wagon did its bit today and pulled 141.3 rwkws.10 killowatts more than a tuned dev 4 cam in standard head setup. It would be nice to see your dyno sheets as well if you feel like it.
Thanks again
Stav

Hi all

Thanks to KPM and all the guys there who worked really hard for the day - those guys do some seriously hard work with all the strapping down and breathing in all those fumes!!!

We had a great turnout and it was really good to meet a lot of new people and catch up with a few oldies! Had a really good day.

I have a pic of every car which ran, on the dyno and the big screen with the graph after - well I hope I have! If I have missed out for anyone, I am really sorry. I was running around all day doing something! I am the process of downloading them, resizing them and getting them on to photobucket - and hopefully in the correct order, so that will take a bit of time!

Cheers

Jac

Finally got back home from Sydney. Well what a day, there were some real fair dinkum cars there! Plenty of nice Fords from the Esky RS to the BA F6 at the end.

That was the first time I've been to a dyno joint and I wasn't disappointed. I was very pleasantly suprised with my BA V8 as I was expecting somewhere between 200-210 but with 218kW with only a catback and homemade cold air I couldn't be happier all on standard 91 unleaded.

What I did learn was that anything turbo is really in a class of its own. RAPID6 ute burning rubber on the dyno, something I have never seen in my life!!

A huge thanks to all the shops that provided staff and expertise on a Saturday for us. Thanks also to fiery, Spoolman, Laminge and the other helpers in the States that collated information and helped with the organisation. This is quite a large logistical exercise and without Spooly's hard work it wouldn't have happened.

In Vic, my thanks to Glenn and the G&D crew along with Whoosh and Tracey for keeping the BBQ fired up all day - an outstanding effort.

Housekeeping

1. I will start a thread in the Vic section so that results can be posted by each individual as we didn't get an overall record.

2. If the SA users could PM me so that I can match the names to their user names I will amend the post above.

3. The WA results need to either be posted here or PM'ed to me.

Cheers
Russ

Default SA Day

The SA day at KPM was great! Very well organized. I even won a lucky dip prize! The only thing dissapointing was my cars performance on the dyno.
