pros are as back2thefutura stated
and also the fact ur pulling 1.7ton of car with alot less effort..(mind you my VCT Au fairlane pulls great!!)

another con tho is rego costs..
also bogans in commodores TRYING to race you
fuel efficiency would suck..
and an extra 2 spark plugs and leads..

Question

Does anyone know the stock performance times eg 0 -100, 1/4 mile? I presume it would be not light speed but a little quicker than a AU Forte 6?

They are big and heavy and 0-100k in 8+ sec and quarter in 16+ sec.

Not much quicker than an Auto forte.

Only 18 extra Kw and 250 extra Kg it doesn't make for a rocketship.

Nice cars though but need a cam and extractors as a minimum to get going and then you could expect low 15's easy enough.

I have had a V8 2002 model for 6 years now and have my own tune computer so that I can tune it for Standard/Performance or Race. It also tunes the Auto and I am running dual fuel .I always only tune it for performance .
I have never been happier with a this car than all the other Fords I have owned . I have only ever owned Fords ever since I got my licence back to 1959 and on my property even my Tractor is an old Ford Major ( I have rebuilt that motor a few years ago and even gave it a heavy port and polish for a bit more power )
My V8 is more fuel efficient than my Wife's AU 6 cylinder sedan and I have a computer for that too but I am ashamed of myself that I have not tuned her car for about 2 years and will have to do it soon.
All I can say about my Fairlane is that I LOVE IT with 20,000 on the clock .
