Default Stalling Issues

Hey guys, new to this part of the forum, my mother bought a ford focus, 2005 model, auto,

When it comes to a dead stop at lights or anything like that, it wants to stall all the time and the revs fluctuate from 0 to 1000 , then all over the place, to stop it from stalling we have to keep the revs up a lil.

Now it did go to the mechanics, and they said there was a problem with the ecu, and apprently they mucked around with something becuase before it went to them it was running sweet

Any one else could shed some light, its bloody annoying

Cheapest option is to check you do not have a vacuum leak on one of the hoses to or from the manisfold, one may even be be missing. This usually causes revs to surge then die and surge again.

i had a similar problem with my focus, however it turned out to be a snapped spark plug connector, prob due to accidentally hitting the high water pressure nozzle when clearing my engine out
