I'm trying to decode a VIN number Unfortunately, everywhere I go (free Sites) tells me its a Meteor etc Many are crossed with US VINs and all Australian site are pay sites I was hoping that someone here could clear up & decode the VIN for me What I'm looking to buy is a: Falcon Panel Van Auto column shift 6cyl Carby Stark white Dark grey interior Bench seat Barn Doors A/C Chassis & Engine are matching numbers But looking to know if its 3.3 or 4.1 Looks to be just a std falcon van, nothing special VIN is 6fpaaajgcmne36640 Hopefully the seller can find the compliance plates and send me a photo, which will help too Hopefully hear from someone knowledgable soon Thank you Mark |

What year,pretty sure there weren’t any unleaded 3.3 litres,so if 1986 or later,should be 4.1

ETIS reckons it's a ute
Falcon Utility (FOA), 4.1L OHV Carb NA 6 Cyl 2V Petrol, Stark White VIN Number: 6FPAAAJGCMNE36640 Also, Ford started using this format of VIN with the introduction of the EA, so around 1988.

Information is pretty limited, if you call 13Ford with that VIN, they will be able to give you more information:
Build date 6/8/1992 6FPAAAJGCMNE36640.JPG |

ETIS is probably correct as the vehicle was most likely repaired with the front replaced, most likely donor vehicles VIN. |
