Rain stopped enough to check disc's, bearings, seals and swap in some much needed new brake pads.

I have the household grocery shop delivered these days. I always loved doing the grocery shop, until the pandemic made attending a supermarket a deadly exercise. So, paying $11.00 for my shopping to be picked and delivered is worth it.

We have a few different drivers, my favorite did the delivery this afternoon. On his first visit, he immediately spotted the Mustang sitting alongside the covered up XR8 and XR6. That delivery turned into a chat about Fords, in particular his Yellow Fire XA GT he once owned and had to sell because of "the ex-wife". Ever since, when he turns up we end up chatting the gospel that is Ford, today I probably made him late for his next drop.

Getting back to a warm home after a boggy quarry pick, pouring rain loading and a light hail/sleet dusting running the big hill up to Beechworth.
No wonder the roads were deserted.

One of the benefits of having a dirty old diesel engine, as in pre-particulate filters, is giving a tailgater a dose of smoke screen.

The PX MKII is nothing like my older 2.5 PK Ranger, that thing would belch black smoke on command.

Probably because the PK was way overdue for new injectors.I had a 2.5 BT 50 that didn’t blow clouds of black smoke, then. 3.ltr PK and id doesn't blow smoke either, but then the 3litre has only clocked up 285,000 kms.Reckon my 3.2 BT50 blows more smoke on start up and its only run up 100,000

The PK was virtually brand new, I only did just on 26,000km in it before I traded it in on the PX MK II. Keep in mind the smoke screen was on full throttle only, it's just how they were. Same thing would happen with the SZ Territory diesel.

I have to switch my air to recirculate when stuck behind a diesel, then try and get past it asap.

Lol, that can also be said for some petrol engine cars when they have a crappy catalytic converter, running rich mixture or worn out engine.

Lack of transparency. It may also work in his favor by lowering the share price to Twitter's actual value.

Would you buy a second hand car without looking under the bonnet?

Personally, I think Twitter share price should have long been pegged to Luna.

Bringing the AU Fairmont rims back from the dead.
They were so filthy they really let the rest of the car down. Had to really get in there and scrub them clean.
Have to say I am partly inspired by DFBFGXR6's awesome detailing posts and pics.

They are only the standard rims but I am very happy with how they come up. Worth doing for sure. I doubt they've ever looked like this in years.
My back says Hi

Painkillers finally kicking in. Only took the final 90 minutes out of my night’s sleep but felt like forever, grr. Basking in the warmth of 2,5mg oxycodone and contemplating the grocery shop I was too lazy for last night.

Still fighting ongoing heavyweight pain the nice Korean dentist can’t pinpoint, Konfetka said after I’d had my ticket clipped for $220: “I wouldn't be surprised if you have periosteum of the jaw inflammation” (diction is odd because she thinks in Russian). Both her parents were dental specialists, she may well be right…

I'm guessing it was also nice having no phone or internet for a while too.

Paying for my son to have laser surgery on his eyes so he doesn't have to wear glasses anymore.
He's an ICU nurse and has to wear PPE causing his glasses to fog.
One less hassle for him, he's a new mortgage holder, and we're financial enough to help.
Rather spend it now instead of waiting for us to kick the bucket and get our money in the will.

As someone who had that procedure nearly 30 years ago I can assure him he will feel that he has won first division plus.No glasses, perfect eyesight, the benefits go on and on.
