They do have one advantage.... road spikes won't stop your car during a police chase!

It is an interesting concept, almost from the "someone has too much time on their hands" department. I wonder how practical the application really is for cars though. Industrial equipment (ie. low speed) I can understand but higher speeds on unpredictable surfaces?

Two important considerations for local use -
1. Do they handle potholes well?
2. Do they smoke up well in a burnout?
