Default Door protection strip, double sided tape

Behind the door protection strips there is a piece of double sided tape that is 1" or 25mm wide that I assume is to stop dust and dirt from getting behind the strip. My problem is where do I get the 25mm wide double sided tape from? Tried SC & Repco but haven't tried Ford yet, just so used to them not having anything, ever! Any help appreciated. Thanks George

I use a thin bead of Sikaflex...works perfectly.

I bought some automotive double sided tape from a hardware store. Black in colour with green plastic backing.

The stuff would stick a NASA space shuttle to the back of a C130 !!!
