May the Force be with her ..I LOVE STAR WARS...Got 'em all. Hard to believe that 'In a galaxy far far away.......' was 40 years ago..She must have been 20 then...Real classic movies as was she...Cheers Rod... |

She had so many roles too.....
My standout was the disgruntled ex. girlfriend trying to kill John Belushi in the Blues Bros....;)

G'day...AND...she wrote a bunch of books too. Since the news of her passing I was looking for Star Wars movies saved on my DVD Recorder Hard Drive..Southern Cross ran all 6 movies about a year ago so I recorded them as well as having the original Star Wars Trilogy on DVD and a couple on VHS..
Found 'em...rainy day..might be an excuse to rewatch a couple if the Boxing Day Test is a wet one..The Princess with attitude..Don't mess with Leia.. AND....The Millenium Falcon ..Great name and half expected to see a blue oval badge on Hans Solo's daily driver somewhere. General specs here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millennium_Falcon ..What a space ship. And the driver Harrison FORD..Go Figure....Our own AU Millenium Falcon...spaceship mileages reliability didn't come with light sabers though , only CD and remote central locking.. On crushes...Mine was for Diana Rigg...Remember Emma Peel from The Avengers..classy...and she's still going i believe..Cheers Rod... Last edited by roddy1960; 28-12-2016 at 09:30 AM. |

G'day...Re Carrie Fisher books...Here's a link to them ..https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sour...20books%20list ...
Re Millenium Falcon piloted by Harrison Ford ..another (sort of) Ford link ..shows ya how my mind works..X Wing fighter...Could have been XR or FGX Wing fighter eh.. Wonder if they were Supercharged V8 or Turbo 6.. Darth Vader's Death Star nup only pushrod LS3 . Movie wouldn't have been "New Hope" it would be "No Hope " ..not over the quarter mile or anywhere else in the galaxy. far far away... . Cheers Rod... |

The hospital reported she died from cardiac arrest, and now believe she suffered the same on the aeroplane, I guess not a heart attack then as first reported.

Just on the news that Debbie Reynolds (Carrie's mum) may have suffered a stroke, 2016 turning out to be a bad year for celebrities.......

Saw 'Rogue One' last week, watched the other 7 yesterday and today as a small ode but my favourite roll she played was the nun in 'Jay and silent Bob strike back' that Jay tries to go down on that will be getting a run tomorrow..
