Default "most fun to drive enthusiastically"- WHEELS MAG

Son of a gun, that's Fiesta. The gun in point is Ford's Focus, of course - the car that single-handedly lifted small-medium cars' chassis dynamics to a whole new level. You only need wriggle Fiesta through entertaining corners to appreciate where its DNA comes from.

Fiesta mightn't be the biggest, fastest or most cleverly packaged thing in the small-car segment, but it doesn't necessarily need to be when it's the most surefooted, best handling and by far the most fun to drive enthusiastically.

Given a good stir, Fiesta's engine has the spirit to play along without becoming obnoxious when revved, and the transmission (particularly the manual) encourages you to exploit it. But Fiesta driving's real appeal lies with the wonderfully well-connected steering, impressively adhesive roadholding and the always co-operatively responsive handling. The delicious icing comes with ride quality that's properly disciplined, but also comfortingly absorbent. Fiesta's adequately roomy cabin is no hardship, either.
