Drove to Darwin last month (Saw Loundsy win) and one of my headlight protectors did what they are supposed to do and took a stone to save the headlight. Now I need a new set. I called the local Ford dealer and was quoted $126. Is this the only place I can get a new set ? Supercheap and Autobahn dont have them.

Hey Bill,
Aunger make them. Maybe contact them for your nearest seller? http://www.aunger.com.au/ edit: won't copy/paste the full link for some reason... just click on "Plastics" and follow your nose... |

There's quite a few sets on ebay at the moment so give that a try.

oops, sorry Bill, gave you a bum steer.
Looks like Aunger make visors, louvres and weathershields for AU XR's but not headlight protectors. |

Aunger only do aftermarket stuff, the only headlight protectors available for AU XR's are the genuine ones.
Bayford Parts (spares bit of a Ford Dealer in Melbourne) sell them for around $30 via Ebay. Im sure if you called them up they would do you the same price over the phone and post them out if youd prefer not to use Ebay, i have bought a lot of things from Bayford and they are always very good to deal with.

Got a set from Bayford yesterday for $55. Thanks for the help. $55 is just so much better than $126.
